Banbury Hillclimb was held on Hwy 30 in South-central Idaho. The Magic Valley Sports Car Club was the organizing force. The dates I can confirm are 1968-1975. They used a steep grade that connected the Snake River Canyon floor up to the desert plateau. Distances varied from .8 miles-1.3 miles in length, depending on the year. Likely the start and/or the finish location was adjusted year to year.
The section was called the Banbury Grade and was located about 8 miles from Buhl. The exact location can’t be pinpointed on a map, as the road has changed it’s configuration since then. A 1958 map of the area (below) does offer a glimpse of what I believe was the area used.
