Idaho is home to one of the longest running hillclimbs in the west. Freezeout Hillclimb near Emmett began in 1967 and continues to this day. It did take a break the last few years, but returned this year in August of 2026. It is an exciting climb on 1.65 miles snaking up “Old Freezeout Road”. Glad to see it is continuing.
